Wayne County Soil and Water Conservation District receives grant from Whitewater Valley REMC Community Trust, Inc.

Soil and Water Recieving Grant Check



Liberty, IN - Wayne County Soil and Water Conservation District receives $500.00 from the Whitewater Valley REMC Community Trust. This grant will be used to help fund “Conservation Days”, an event for 3rd & 4th grade students and their teachers to learn about agriculture, natural resources, safety, and much more outside the classroom.

Whitewater Valley REMC Community Trust Board Members Kevin Smith, Carol McQueen, and Bruce Cowen presented the check to Education Coordinator LuAnne Holeva on Monday, August 6, 2018.

The Whitewater Valley REMC Community Trust, Inc. trustees meet quarterly on the fourth Monday of January, April, July, and October to review applications for grants. Applications and information regarding the program can be found at www.wwvremc.com under Member Services and Operation Round UP.
