Student Poll Worker Program
Indiana law permits eligible high school students to serve as Clerks on Election Day. As a student poll worker, you must be at least 16 years old, receive permission from a parent/guardian and your school, and have a 3.0 GPA (or equivalent). Many high schools coordinate their own student poll worker programs, so check with your government teacher or school office before contacting the election board. You will have the same responsibilities as adult poll workers and get paid the same for the workday and training.

Students must submit an online application for each election. You must also download a permission form and collect signatures from a parent/guardian, and the school principal or individual in charge of homeschooling. Return the form to the election board via any of the methods listed at the bottom of it.
