Mission
The mission of the Wayne County Recycling Department is to reduce the waste stream to the landfill by providing opportunities for end-users to recycle and properly dispose of waste, educating community members on resource issues and recycling opportunities, and encouraging reuse and source reduction.

Sharps/Biohazards
There is a RED deposit box, similar to a blue USPS mailbox, in the Wellcare parking lot located west of the Wayne County Courthouse. All deposits should be placed in sealed containers for safe processing such as food containers, pop bottles, etc. Please direct any questions regarding this disposal box to the Wayne County Health Dept.
